May 3, 2026

The Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce celebrated women in business in Sussex County April 28 with its Empower & Indulge Women’s Lunch.

The event brought together women business leaders from around the Cape Region to Baywood Greens to network, talk to local vendors and hear a special panel discussion, moderated by chamber board member Jvonne Oliver, and featuring entrepreneur Lillian Harrison, Laura Genreau of the Delaware Hispanic Commission, Joshua M. Freeman Foundation Executive Director Patti Grimes and culinary instructor Tish Dismuke.

The discussion centered on issues such as confidence, overcoming barriers, financial and personal empowerment, and helping other women succeed. The event also included door prizes with items from Georgetown/Millsboro-area businesses.
