Gerry Lee Foskey, helped others in need

February 16, 2020

Gerry Lee Foskey, 58, of Bridgeville passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at her home. She was born June 18, 1961, in Fairmont, W.Va., daughter of the late Martha Currence Greathouse and Milton Vaughan.

Gerry grew up in Chestertown, Md., and graduated from Chestertown High School. She was a kind and loving soul who saw the best in everything, always trying to help others, even when she needed help herself. Strangers became family to her over the years while running Tom and Gerry's Auto with her family.

Gerry was a free spirit, just like the wild horses she loved so much. Above all, she treasured time spent with those she held dear. She was a loving and devoted fiancée, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Gerry is survived by her beloved fiancé, Tom Bennett; her son, Jason Dean; her daughters, Misty Marie, Tasha and Mandy; her several grandchildren; her many nieces and nephews; and her adoptive father and siblings, David Hopkins, Kimberly Hopkins, Cheryl Bryant and Genea Smith.

A celebration of Gerry's life will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at noon, at 502 Railroad Ave., Bridgeville, where all are welcome to attend. Arrangements are being handled by Watson-Yates Funeral Home and Crematorium, Seaford, a member of the Parsell Funeral Family.

Please visit Gerry's Life Memorial Webpage and sign her online guestbook at www.watsonyatesfuneralhome.com.
