GFWC Zwaanendael Women’s Club honors nurses, presents scholarship

In recognition of National Nurses Week, the GFWC Zwaanendael Women’s Club presented Beebe Healthcare nursing staff with a poster to demonstrate their sincere appreciation to all the nurses who selflessly share their skill and compassion to provide exceptional healthcare for the community, and honor and celebrate nurses this week and all year long. The staff was touched and grateful for the recognition.

Z Club has invested in the nursing profession for over 40 years by awarding an annual scholarship to a student attending the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare. This year’s recipient is Madisyn Williams, who said she is passionate about her nursing career, and being recognized with this scholarship has helped with her nursing journey.

National Nurses Week is observed from May 6, National Nurses Day, to May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthdate. Nightingale, aka the Lady with the Lamp, is credited with founding professional nursing.
