GoGlass protects local businesses and customers

In March, GoGlass was about to celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in Berlin, Md., but then everything had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.

“Business was fantastic. We were about to have our grand opening, and all of our plans went down the drain in an instant. It was disheartening, to say the least, after putting so much effort into it. But today, we find ourselves fulfilling a role in the business community that we never could have predicted the day everything unraveled. So I’m feeling better now than I did when we had to put the brakes on,” said Brett Towers, president and CEO of GoGlass.

Acrylic glass, or Plexiglas, is something that GoGlass has always provided. But today, acrylic glass has not only become a very important part of its business, it is critically important to the businesses GoGlass services.

“GoGlass has always worked with acrylic glass, but not at the volume we are doing now. Over the past several weeks, we have installed acrylic glass in just about every type of business on Delmarva that you can think of. We are helping them cope with the new normal,” said Towers. “People who have had it installed have been very grateful that we could get it done so quickly. You hear everyone say we’ll get through this together. Well, it’s definitely true here. You can feel it when you go into the business and get the job done. You can see it on the faces of their employees. It’s almost a sense of relief once you see the glass in place. It’s that barrier we all want to have in order to be safe. It makes a big difference. The acrylic glass gives you protection on both sides. Employees feel safer, and so do the customers who see that you have taken the initiative to provide the safe barrier in your business.”
