Grace S. Marvel, Burris Foods retiree

Grace S. Marvel, a lifetime resident of Milford, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Genesis Milford Center. She was the daughter of Ernest and Pearl Stevenson. She was a graduate of Milford High School and a member of Avenue United Methodist Church. She retired from Burris Foods.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Manaen Marvel; her brother Donald and his wife Shirley Stevenson; three daughters Evelyn Gainer of Florida, Harriett Powell of Harrington and Joan Pierce of Seaford; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday Aug. 28, at Barrett’s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
