Car flips on Route 1 near Home Depot

Traffic backed up along southbound Route 1 June 19, as emergency responders cleared the scene of a flipped vehicle at the entrance to Home Depot. 

The incident occurred about 11 a.m. involving at least two vehicles. Lewes Fire Department responded to the scene. 

This was one of several incidents in the Cape Region June 19. Others include:

• 7:51 a.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Route 1 and Nassau Road north of the Nassau Bridge, Lewes

• 11 a.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Route 16 and Gravel Hill Road, Milton

• 11:28 a.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Plantation Road and Robinsonville Road, Lewes

• 12:34 p.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Route 9 and Minos Conaway Road, Lewes

• 3:18 p.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Route 1 and Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach

• 4:11 p.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Route 16 and Union Street, Milton

• 6:39 p.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Melanie Lane and Draper Drive, Ellendale

• 6:52 p.m. - Outside fire on Red Mill Drive, Lewes

• 7:02 p.m. - Water rescue at Massey’s Landing 

• 7:37 p.m. - Traffic collision at the intersection of Sailfish Lane and Seatrout Lane, Long Neck.
