Graceful Aging Group ends season May 19
Westminster Presbyterian’s Graceful Aging Group will hold its final session of the season Thursday, May 19.
The group has been meeting weekly with a focus on sharing with one another ways of moving through the senior years with ease and comfort. They’ve talked about the commonalities in villages where residents frequently live to over 100. They’ve played mental exercises to stave off dementia. They’ve dabbled in the new fad of coloring to reduce stress.
Recently Anne Keehan and Jennifer Cowan of SterlingFish/Navigating Transitions spoke with them about ways to pack, sort, organize and declutter in order to keep downsizing smooth and worry free. And on May 12, they visited the Brandywine Senior Living facilities.
The aging process is ongoing, as is the group.
Meetings will recommence Sept. 8. Westminster Presbyterian, the church with room for all, welcomes anyone with concerns about aging to join the group, Thursday mornings, 10 a.m., in the downstairs library at the church on the corner of St. Charles Avenueand Laurel Street in downtown Rehoboth Beach.
