Gruenebaum to address 14th RD Democrats Aug. 13
The 14th Representative District Democratic Committee will meet Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Iron Hill Brewery on Route 1 north of Rehoboth Beach.
The program will begin at 5 p.m. with a Dutch treat dinner, followed by remarks from Sussex County Councilwoman Jane Gruenebaum and committee business at 6 p.m.
A first-term representative for District 3, Gruenebaum will discuss council actions and new recommendations under consideration by its land-use working group to deal with development, affordable housing and infrastructure issues. The founding president of the Sussex Preservation Coalition, she ran for office because of her concern over the impact of sprawl on the environment, traffic and quality of life in the county.
Delaware’s 14th Representative District covers the Delaware Bay and coastal communities including Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach. Sussex County Council District 3 covers Delaware Bay and Atlantic coast communities, including the Broadkill Beach, Dewey Beach, Henlopen Acres, Lewes, Long Neck, Primehook Beach, Rehoboth Beach and Slaughter Beach areas.
