Harry Tsoukalas, Robin Hood Restaurant owner

Harry Tsoukalas, 87, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017. He was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Ano Hora, Greece.

Harry emmigrated to the United States in 1956. He lived in Wilmington but eventually made his home in Rehoboth Beach. There he established and ran the Robin Hood Restaurant for 49 years. Harry was well-known, loved and respected by all. He was known for his outgoing personality and infectious laugh. He could be seen walking around Rehoboth, a friend to whomever he met.

Harry was a devoted husband and loving father, and enjoyed spending time with his three granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Niki Tsoukalas; his son, Kosta (Karen) Tsoukalas; daughter, Stacey (John) Pennia; granddaughters, Sofia, Christina and Joanna; brother, Dimitri; and sisters Maria and Olga of Nafpaktos, Greece. He is preceded in death by his brothers, George and Nick, and sister Eleni.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 8805 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, Md., where friends and family can visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Epworth Cemetery in Rehoboth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. George Greek Orthodox Church at the address listed above.
