The Hiring Bridge helps small businesses fill jobs more quickly
The Hiring Bridge, a Delaware-based firm founded by staffing industry veteran David Metzler, launched in August to provide flat-fee hiring support for small and midsize businesses.
The company offers temporary placement and monthly hiring packages designed to give employers predictable costs. By eliminating the need for an in-house recruiter or the percentage-based markups common in traditional staffing agencies, the Hiring Bridge makes hiring more straightforward for businesses with limited resources.
The launch comes amid nationwide workforce shortages. As of this July, there were about 7.2 million job openings in the United States, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. While openings have declined from their pandemic peak, the labor market remains tight, and employers in fields such as healthcare and construction continue to report challenges filling certain roles.
“When a position is open, employers need someone in the role right away, not weeks or months later,” Metzler said. “Our goal is to take the complexity out of hiring and give businesses a clear path to the right candidate.”
Metzler brings decades of experience owning and operating staffing agencies across Delaware and Pennsylvania. Known for matching employers with dependable workers, he has built his career on helping businesses meet urgent staffing needs.
In addition to his years of experience, Metzler has earned four certifications from AIRS, a recruitment training organization owned by ADP. His credentials include Certified AI and Sourcing Recruiter, Certified Military Veteran Recruiter, Certified Diversity Recruiter and Certified Recruitment Branding Professional. AIRS programs are widely recognized in the staffing industry and emphasize inclusive, technology-driven hiring practices.
Through a partnership with Delaware-based Hook Strategic, the Hiring Bridge also helps employers compete for talent by defining what makes their workplace distinctive.
The firm’s services range from one-time placements to ongoing support. Employers can choose flat-fee options for job postings, candidate screening and interview coordination, or monthly retainers that provide ongoing help with resume review and scheduling. Additional services include Spanish-language job posting translation, onboarding checklists and curated backup candidate pools.
“Small and midsize businesses often can’t afford a full HR department,” Metzler said. “The Hiring Bridge gives them support that saves time and reduces hiring stress.”
