Due to expected inclement weather, the Saturday, Aug. 4 Historic Lewes Farmers Market (open rain or shine, 8 a.m. to noon) will move to Shields Elementary School parking lot at Savannah Road and Sussex Drive. Unfortunately, this means the Tomato Festival has been cancelled. More than 30 vendors will still be at the market on Saturday with the best local produce on Delmarva, including lots of heirloom and cherry tomatoes.
For timely market news, customers can subscribe to the free HLFM email newsletter sent out each Thursday. To be included, send email address to email@example.com.
Don't forget about the Wednesday farmers market at Crooked Hammock Brewery on Kings Highway from 8 to 11 a.m. each week.
