Hoey Stevenson is friend, leader we need

October 4, 2024

I’m writing today as a friend of Kim Hoey Stevenson, someone I’ve known for many years. Kim has always been there for me in ways that go beyond words. When I needed help with my kids, she was there, carpooling, advocating advice for our son with autism. She wrote me a letter of recommendation for my citizenship, and made time to be present at my ceremony. I have witnessed Kim being there for so many people in our community. When I was waiting to close on my house and had nowhere to stay, Kim gave me a place to live. No matter what the favor, Kim never says no. She’s that kind of person – always thinking about how she can help others.

What’s even more amazing is how connected she is. If Kim can’t personally help you, she knows someone who can. She’s like the glue that holds people together, and her networking skills are incredible. If there’s a problem, Kim can find the solution because she knows how to bring the right people together to make things happen.

I always tell people, “Everyone should have a Kim!” And now, with her running for state Senate, everyone will be able to have a Kim working for them. Kim listens, she cares, and she’s always prepared to do what’s best for the community. I’ve seen it firsthand.

So, if you want someone who will always be there for you, just like she’s been for me, vote for Kim Hoey Stevenson. She’s the friend and leader we all need.
