Honeymooners celebrating their 1st Anniversary with the Cape Gazette in TCI

Tommy and Karla Bowden of Lewes finally got to go on their trip that was scheduled back in October of 2020. They were supposed to travel to the Turks and Caicos Islands to get married on Oct. 1, 2020, but instead honeymooned there on their 1st anniversary on Oct. 1, 2021. 

Tommy & Karla were not going to let COVID-19 ruin their special day. They gathered on Lewes Beach on their original wedding day with a very small group and exchanged vows. After the ceremony, they walked to a special friend’s house on Cedar Ave. for a small and intimate reception. Instead of canceling the trip altogether, they decided what better place to celebrate their 1st Anniversary. The trip was rescheduled for the very same time, just a year later.
