Howard Lee Holston, loved his family, community
Howard Lee Holston, 74, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, in Dover. Born Nov. 30, 1950, in Milford, Howard lived a life characterized by commitment, passion, and love for his family and community.
Howard was a loving and supportive husband to Angela Holston, and together they created a warm and nurturing environment for their family. He was a devoted father to Howard Lee Holston Jr. and Brian Holston, and a proud grandfather to Brianna Holston, Brian Holston, Brandon Holston, Stephen Holston, Trey Holston, and Ashley Holston. Howard's family was central to his life, and he enjoyed spending quality time with them, instilling in them the values he cherished.
In addition to his family, Howard is survived by his sisters, Shirley Holston, Peggy Derrickson and Cindy Phelan; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Howard had a deep passion for sports, being an avid fan of both the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoyed the tranquility of deer hunting, activities that brought him joy and camaraderie with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty A. Holston; father, Howard B. Holston; brother, Roger Holston; and sister, Clara M. Lawson. Their memories will forever be cherished as part of his legacy.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, Oct. 20, at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, with a funeral service from noon to 1 p.m. Howard will be laid to rest from 1 to 2 p.m., at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
Howard will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his profession, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
