Idella H. Rogers, devoted church member

Idella H. Rogers, 98, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025. She was born Feb. 24, 1927, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Calvin and Leola (Doughten) Bearman.

Idella worked for many years as the manager of Bodie’s Dairy Market, where she was known for her dedication and warm personality. She was also a devoted member of Millsboro Wesleyan Church, where she was active in church life and ministry for many years. In her quiet moments, Idella found joy in reading and drawing, simple pleasures that reflected her thoughtful and creative spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband, William Walter Rogers.

Idella is survived by her two daughters, Bonita Millman (Terry) and Valerie Bradford (John Jr.), both of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Jennifer Burgess (Jeff Heath) of Chicago, Ill., April McGinnis (Bud) of Millsboro, and Heather Serman (Guy) of Bonaire, Ga.; as well as her great-grandchildren, Ivy Heath, Tristan McGinnis, Elizabeth Serman and Abigail Serman.
