Jack Murray, loved traveling

February 8, 2022

Jack Murray passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at a care center in Cape May, N.J. Jack lived in Lewes for the last 20 years and considered Lewes his home. He loved the Cape Henlopen area and beaches.

He had a great many friends, which he nurtured through various activities such as volunteering with the Epworth United Methodist Church program for providing Sunday lunches for seniors.

Jack was born April 13, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pa. He served as an interpreter for the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jack was an outgoing, delightful person, which made him a great salesman.  He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and meeting new people.

Jack is survived by a sister, Joyce Dickerson of Lancaster, Pa.; and by his two sons, Craig Murray and his family of Cape May, and Steven Murray and his family of West Virginia.

His family will host a private celebration of life in Cape May.

His Lewes friends send Jack the following message: We love you from a different place, yet we are standing beside you.
