Jacqueline E. Jenkins, cherished family time

Jacqueline E. Jenkins, 74, of Millsboro passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born Thursday, April 6, 1944, in Darby, Pa., daughter of the late Thomas Murphy and Beatrice (Ryan) Murphy.

Mrs. Jenkins was a dedicated mother and homemaker who raised a beautiful family of four. She cherished the time spent with her family and being there for every event, especially when it came to her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, ceramics and a sunny day by the pool. Mrs. Jenkins was the true matriarch of the family and will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Arthur V. Jenkins Jr., and her son-in-law, John D. Zschiedrich Jr. She is survived by her three sons: Arthur V. Jenkins III and his wife Jeanne of Smyrna, Bryan F. Jenkins and his wife Carol of Smyrna, and Mark T. Jenkins and his wife Denise of Clayton; her daughter, Dawn Zschiedrich of Millsboro; her 11 grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren; her two brothers, William Murphy and Thomas Murphy; and her sister, Jeanne Beattie and her husband Jack.

Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
