Jean A. Hawley, loved her family

Jean A. Hawley passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at TidalHealth in Salisbury, Md. Born March 17, 1955, in Milford, she was a devoted soul who loved her family deeply. She was a true Delaware native and enjoyed her life on the Eastern Shore with her family.

Jean is survived by her beloved children, Arianne Ingalls and her husband Corey, Jennifer Friedman and her husband Adam, and Lewis Hawley Jr. She was a cherished sister to Robert Jennings and his wife Kay, Debbie Coverdale, and Richard Jennings and his wife Kathy. Jean's legacy continues through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever remember her warmth and kindness.

She was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Lewis Hawley Sr.; her parents, Robert and Mabel Jennings; her brother, William Jennings; her brother-in law, Dave Coverdale; and her daughter, Stephanie Callaway. These losses have left a profound impact on her family, who carry her memory in their hearts.

Jean’s love of photography was only exceeded by her love of nature and her wildlife, taking on the role of an observer of the world around her. She enjoyed the companionship of her dog, King, who brought happiness and comfort to her daily life.

Jean lived her life with purpose in all her endeavors. As her family carries forward her legacy, they will forever hold dear the memories crafted through her love and the lessons she imparted along the way. Jean will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
