John Francis Lynch “Jack,” 83, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.  He was born Sept. 10, 1935, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late John and Mae Heish Lynch.

Mr. Lynch was a 1957 Towson State Teacher’s College graduate, and in the same year married his wife of 37 years, Roberta Reed Lynch, who passed in 1994. After 31 years of public school education service, he retired to care for his wife. Occasionally he would teach education classes at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, until 2012.

His love of music and theatre, especially musicals, led him to become involved with the Community Players of Salisbury, Md., in 1976, as well as his church choir.

Mr. Lynch is survived by his daughter Lynn Willey (Brian) of Greensboro, Md.; and son Richard Lynch of Rehoboth Beach; stepgrandchildren Christen Willey of Denton, Md., and Jessica Herrandez (Mike) of Frederick, Md.; great-grandchildren Chelsea and Daniel; brother and sister-in-law Richard (Dick) and Betty Lynch; niece Chris Lynch; and nephews Richie and Michael Lynch.
