John H. Morris, electrical contractor
John H. Morris, 75, of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of Delaware County, Pa., passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at his home, surrounded by the people he loved. He was born Jan. 4, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Little and Ida (Walker) Morris.
John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. John was educated in Pennsylvania graduating from St. Thomas More in 1962. In 2007, John and his cherished wife of 55 years, Carol, retired to Rehoboth Beach after a 50-year career as an electrical contractor. John was a member of St. Edmond Catholic Church, Rehoboth Beach. John also loved to volunteer, and was an active member of his community as he would help his neighbors with small electrical/maintenance issues, was in charge of the town watch, volunteered as an umpire for Rehoboth Little League, and helped out at the New Life Thrift Store. John loved to help others; he loved people and will be greatly missed by many.
John is survived by his loving wife Carol (Zets) Morris; along with his six children, John E. (Dale), Carol (Franklin), James J. (Donna), Joseph P. (Mary), Cristin, and Jason (Katrina); 13 grandchildren, Cristie Link, Bob Link, Erin, Emily, Jared, Zachary, Macfarland, Kayla, Lanie, Joey, Camryn, Danny and Jax; and one great-granddaughter Lily Link.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and attend his funeral Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m., at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood, Pa., followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m.
