John R. Plum, software engineer
John R. Plum, 77, of Milton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born in Baltimore, Md., Feb. 18, 1941, son of the late James E. and Pauline Plum.
Mr. Plum received bachelor of science degrees from the University of Baltimore and Loyola University Maryland. Prior to retiring, he served as lead senior software engineer for a large defense company. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Plum is survived by his wife Sally K. Plum of Milton; his sons: Greg Plum and his wife Karen, and Matt Plum and his wife Kim; and his grandchildren: Cole, Mae, Emerson and Grayson Plum.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m., at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mount Joy Road, Millsboro, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Plum's name to the Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, Georgetown.
