Johnetta D. Dallas-Thomas, had cleaning service
Johnetta D. Dallas-Thomas “Dawn,” 55, of Millsboro, a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family, passed away at home Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019. Johnetta was the oldest of two children born to the late Thelma Lopez-Pugh “Mommy” and John King.
Dawn was born Nov. 27, 1964, in Chester, Pa., and received her education in the Chester Upland School District. At the age of 22, Johnetta married her first husband, Harry Dallas, and moved their family to Delaware. Dawn loved spending time with her family, especially her children, including large family dinner parties and game nights. Johnetta then married Steven Thomas and the two developed a new love of traveling. Over their 20 years together, they must have visited every island in the Caribbean. Other than her children, she was most proud of the cleaning business, Johnetta’s Christian Cleaning Service, that serviced the beaches of Sussex County.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her devoted and loving husband, Steven Thomas; five children, Malik Lopez (Jennifer), Michael Lopez (Jamyra), Monika Lopez, Marvin Dallas and Yvonne Dallas; grandmother Thelma Davis; brother Andrea Harrington; aunt/sister Catherine Nixon; eight grandchildren (Tahj, Chloe, Amyia, Michael, Zimir, Rayvonne, Dayvonne and Amyinah); and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, at noon, at Friendship Baptist Church, 500 W. 4th St., Lewes. Family and friends may visit two hours prior to service. Interment will be held Monday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m., at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
