Joseph N. Egger, St. Jude member
Joseph N. Egger, 66, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Hazleton, Pa., son of the late Louis and Mary (Matz) Egger.
Mr. Egger was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, the Indian River Yacht Club, the Cape Helopen Elks Lodge and American Legion Post 28. He enjoyed boating, fishing and cooking.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Michalochick) Egger; his daughter Nicole Kamel and her husband Jason of Gardner, Ma.; two grandchildren: Nathan and Kameron; his brother-in-law Robert Michalochick and his wife Reese of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two nieces: Lori and Kayla.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Route 1 north of Five Points, Lewes. Friends may call at the church beginning at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, and from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 6, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713, or to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. Tenth Street, Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
