K-10 Dog Training student passes Canine Good Citizen test

Nancy LaFontaine of K-10 Dog Training is pleased to announce her most recent dog trainee, Lacie, has passed the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test with the help of her owner, Linda Culleny.

Lacie, a beautiful 2-year-old Golden Retriever English Cream, was a natural for the necessary cues to pass the test. There are 10 items that all dogs must learn and pass to earn AKC CGC status.

Dogs are tested in accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, appearance and grooming, out for a walk, walking through a crowd, sit and down on command/ staying in place, coming when called, reaction to another dog, reaction to distractions, and supervised separation.
