Kay L. Copp, seafood store owner
Kay L. Copp, 79, of Lewes passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Christiana Hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1941, in Lewes, daughter of the late Larry and Margaret (Terrece) Peruchi.
Kay was the owner and operator of Copp’s Seafood for roughly 50 years. She put her heart and soul into her business and loved her customers.
Kay’s favorite pastimes were baking and playing the slots at Dover Downs, but you could also always find the Game Show Network playing on her television. Above all else, Kay loved spending time with her family and gathering around a good meal.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Peruchi. She is survived by her children: Clifford Copp Jr. and his lifetime partner Donna Smith of Georgetown, Penni Enama and her husband Marc of Wilmington, Donald Copp and his wife Kay of Milton, and Steven Copp of Lewes; her brother, Vernon Peruchi; her beloved grandchildren: Brad Copp, Rebecca Copp, Abigail Enama, Mason Copp, and Logan Copp; and many other extended family members.
All services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
