Kenneth Miller, self-employed painter

August 23, 2019

On Tuesday Aug. 20, 2019, Kenneth Miller of Millsboro, formerly of  Overlea, Md., loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 73.

Ken was born March 16, 1946, in Baltimore, Md., to Leon and Bertha Miller.  He graduated from City College in Baltimore and worked for Hauswald Bakery for many years, but worked for himself the majority of his career as a home painter (Ken Miller’s Painting).  On May 11, 1966, he and Judy Miller married.  They raised two children, Denise and Steve.

All who knew Ken knew that he worked most of the time, but he did very much enjoy his work as a painter and being self-employed.  When not working, Ken loved to work in the backyard in his vegetable garden.  He also enjoyed sitting on the front porch with friends and neighbors, drinking a few beers and listing to his favorite music on those warm summer nights.  He enjoyed traveling with Judy, driving up and down the coast spending many weeks on Sanibel Island, Fla., and later in life many weeks in Provincetown on Cape Cod.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Leon, his mother, Bertha and his sister, Audrey.  He is survived by his wife Judy his two children, Denise (spouse Chuck) and Steve (spouse David); his brothers, Mike, Charlie (spouse Karen), and David (spouse Linda); and grandchildren Amanda and Justin.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Ken’s honor in the near future and the details will be announced
