Kings Creek Country Club announces new golf course superintendent
The Board of Directors of Kings Creek Country Club announced the approval of Mark Haschemeyer as golf course superintendent effective Oct. 10.
Haschemeyer joins Kings Creek Country Club from Wilmington Country Club, where he was most recently the South Course superintendent. During Haschemeyer’s time at Wilmington Country Club, he was initially responsible for the management of the North Course and starting in 2009, he began to oversee the South Course and was noted as delivering an exceptionally well-maintained golf course. Haschemeyer’s advanced agronomic and turfgrass experience served the club well during his involvement in course renovation and construction.
Kings Creek Country Club Board of Directors President Dorrien Spilman said, “Mark was selected for the coveted position at Kings Creek Country Club because of his proven management background and his history of excellent performance. The board is delighted to welcome Mark, his wife Carrie and their 16-month-old son Eli to Kings Creek.”
Haschemeyer previously worked at Columbia Country Club in Bethesda, Md., and was instrumental in the preparation of the golf course for the 2003 U.S. Junior Amateur. Haschemeyer was formerly the assistant golf course superintendent at Kokopelli Golf Club in Marion, Ill., and holds a bachelor of science degree in plant and soil science from Southern Illinois University.
