The Krewe of St. Edmond gathered in the parish hall to celebrate Mardi Gras Feb. 17. This event was part of a yearlong celebration of St. Edmond's Diamond Jubilee.
Parishioners marched to the beat of "When the Saints Go Marching In." Then they enjoyed a dinner of jambalaya and coleslaw catered by Noel Sickler of Slo & Lo Barbeque. King cake was served for dessert as everyone looked for the hidden baby Jesus.
Cold weather forced the parade indoors but didn't freeze the spirit of this Lenten tradition.
