Labarron Scott, Mountaire retiree

Mr. Labarron Scott, 73, of Millsboro passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018. 

He was born Jan. 22, 1945, in Atmore, Ala., to the late Jimmy and Helen Lambert Scott. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter, Felicia Wiggins. He retired from Mountaire Farms after 20 years of service.

Labarron, known to family and friends as Lee or Pop, loved to talk and spend time with his family. He loved taking vacations with family to North Carolina and Atlantic City. He was also very meticulous when it came to taking care of his cars.

He leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 24 years, Mrs. Phyllis Scott of Millsboro; nine children; Deborah Rudolph of Alabama, Labarron Sledge of Minnesota, Laneisha Sledge, Latonya Sledge, Arelious Wiggins and Tyshawn Bell, all of New Haven Conn., Terrelle Belle and Narissa Belle of Millsboro, and Robert Bell (Natisha) of Harbeson. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.

A going home service will be held Monday, Aug. 13, at noon. at Trinity Holiness Church, 34676 Delaware Ave., Frankford. The viewing will be from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will follow at Zoar Golden Acres Cemetery, Bishopville, Md.
