Landscape Painting on Location with Walt Bartman at RAL Oct. 1-3

September 19, 2021

Guest artist Walt Bartman will teach Landscape Painting on Location at the Rehoboth Art League Friday through Sunday, Oct. 1-3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. While painting on location at Gordons Pond, figures and fishermen at the beach, and the town of Lewes and its marshes, participants will learn how to paint boats, water, architecture and the figure. Bartman will also lecture on landscape drawing, composition and how to see and work with color outdoors. All mediums, oil and acrylic and watercolor, and all abilities are welcome. The cost of the three-day workshop is $260 per person for members and $295 per person for nonmembers.

Specializing in landscape and figure painting, Bartman has been teaching in the Bethesda, Md. area for over 35 years. In 1994 he established the Yellow Barn Studio and Gallery in Glen Echo Park, Md., which provides opportunities for artists of all ages and backgrounds to grow as artists, work in collaboration, and show and sell artwork. At this location and others, he continues to teach and inspire students of all ages, levels and backgrounds. Additionally, he conducts an exciting array of national and international workshops.

To register for the workshop, go to rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408 Ext. 112. The workshop will be held at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres.

The art league is a non-profit organization dedicated to making art accessible to all. This program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com.
