The Lewes Public Library hosted an outdoor, socially distanced fire safety demonstration Oct. 20. About a dozen families came to the event, where they learned about a firefighter’s suit and gear, and what to do if a fire breaks out in their home. They also got to tour one of Lewes Fire Department’s engines.
Although the Lewes Public Library is only open on a very limited basis, programs are continuing virtually and in some cases live when precautions can be put into place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
