Maryland-based Ledo Pizza, famous for its square pie, will soon open a new location on Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.

The restaurant, which is being operated by Trifecta Hospitality Group out of Ocean City, Md., will be located in the space that was most recently Five Guys Burgers and Fries, which closed in late 2024. The space has been under renovation for months.

Trifecta Hospitality’s Mo Salem said the plan is to be open before Memorial Day. The express window won’t be ready, but that won’t change the main restaurant, he said.

“We’re excited to be bringing Ledo Pizza to downtown Rehoboth Beach,” said Salem. The company also opened a Ledo Pizza in West Ocean City in 2024.

Founder Bob Beall opened the first Ledo Pizza in Adelphi, Md., in 1955. There are now more than 150 locations in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York and Pennsylvania.

The Rehoboth Avenue location will be one of four Ledo Pizza spots in Delaware. According to the company’s website, there’s also a Ledo Pizza Corner Shoppe at the Giant Food outside Rehoboth Beach, and two in the Ocean View/Bethany Beach/Millville area – one near Fred Hudson Road and one in Giant Food.
