Lefty’s to announce Giving Tuesday beneficiaries Nov. 24

To show gratitude to organizations that make Delaware a better place to live, work and play, Lefty’s Alley & Eats will host 10 local nonprofit groups Tuesday, Dec. 2, for a day of food, fun and the gift of a $500 donation on Giving Tuesday.

Nonprofits based within a 30-mile radius of Lefty’s are encouraged to apply at iloveleftys.com/giving-Tuesday. Each organization selected  will be invited to bring 10 members of their staff, volunteers or beneficiaries.

“Giving Tuesday is all about recognizing those who give so much of themselves to others,” said Melissa O’Brien, director of marketing at Lefty’s. “We’re honored to celebrate the nonprofits that make such a difference in our community — and to give back in a way that’s true to who we are, by bringing people together to have fun.”

Giving Tuesday is a day to inspire generosity among billions of people around the world to support the causes they believe in and the communities they care about. Every year since 2012, Giving Tuesday has raised millions of dollars for charitable causes.

Ten organizations will be selected Monday, Nov. 24, and announced on Lefty’s social media platforms.
