Leslie Kopp celebrates 25th anniversary as a successful Realtor
Specializing in the coastal area that spans from Fenwick Island to North Bethany Beach, September marks 25 years in business for one of the most highly sought-after real estate professionals, Leslie Kopp.
In 1989, as a recent college graduate, Kopp followed a suggestion that she get her real estate license while spending the summer in Bethany. Today, her entrepreneurial spirit and sharp market insight have led her to win the trust and confidence of some of the most discerning homeowners in Delaware.
“Real estate is a tough business, and the market was not very good when I started. There were many agents who said I wasn’t going to make it. To me, that was motivation. I wanted to prove them wrong,” says Kopp.
She certainly did. Kopp now leads a small group that dominates the beach market and her portfolio includes some of the most desirable luxury oceanfront homes ever offered for sale.
With a focus on customer service that is second to none, Kopp feels fortunate to have a highly trained and dedicated group today. Her mix of real estate professionals and administrative associates reflects the importance that she places on superior support for her clients.
“Whether buying or selling a home, the process can be emotional and sometimes stressful. I have administrative professionals who are solely dedicated to handling the details so that the experience is the best it can possibly be for our clients.”
When asked about her own success in the business, Kopp states “Hard work, integrity, knowledge of the product, and a passion for the industry are the keys to doing well in real estate.” She notes that follow-up has always been essential, but is more important now than ever before. “Clients today want answers immediately. If you are not there to provide them, someone else is.”
Kopp’s group has consistently ranked No. 1 in Long & Foster’s Delaware real estate market and was most recently ranked third in overall sales in the broader Long & Foster region that includes Maryland, Washington, D.C., Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
"I am extremely grateful to the residents of Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island for trusting me to provide them with the highest standards in real estate excellence," said Kopp. "A lot has changed in the last 25 years and today I have a group that is more committed than ever to helping our clients achieve their real estate goals."
When she is not meeting with clients or showing homes, Kopp enjoys spending time with her husband Chuck and her golden retriever, Lucky, who was aptly named upon being rescued from a shelter. She loves traveling and although she admits to not having much time to cook herself, she enjoys cooking and appreciates great food. Kopp has a growing passion for bicycling. and finds it important to make time for exercise just about every day.
