Lewes in Bloom plant and merchandise sale set May 5

Lewes in Bloom members are busy digging up and potting their plants for the Lewes in Bloom Annual Spring Plant and Merchandise Sale to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 5, in front of Citizens Bank on Second Street in Lewes.

Not only will there be plants from members’ gardens, but also annuals grown by the horticultural students at Cape Henlopen High School will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the sale of the students’ plants will go directly to the school.

There will also be fresh culinary and medicinal herbs and Lewes in Bloom merchandise such as hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts, their famous cookbook and more.

This will be Lewes in Bloom’s biggest spring plant sale to date. For the best selection, shopping early in the day is recommended.
