Lewes in Bloom plant and merchandise sale set May 7

Lewes in Bloom will be selling plants and merchandise from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 7 at the booth in front of Citizens Bank on Second Street in Lewes.

The sale will offer member-grown perennials, mixed seed packets, fresh culinary and medicinal herbs, and Lewes in Bloom merchandise such as cards, hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts and gardening gloves. This year a wide variety of handmade crafts by Lewes in Bloom members will be available as well as the unique Lewes in Bloom bangle bracelet. The bracelet comes in silver, rose or gold tones and sports the Lewes in Bloom name and an image of tulips and is distinguished by a Lewes ZIP code charm.

Lewes in Bloom is a volunteer organization of more than 170 members. In 2015, volunteers spent hundreds of hours planting thousands of bulbs and plants throughout the city. The organization promotes the beautification and maintenance of historic Lewes and the larger community. It is dedicated to the enhancement of Lewes through a variety of efforts including historical preservation, environmental awareness, a children’s garden, floral displays, and more.
