Lewes Historical Society cut the ribbon April 12 on its new antiques store at the society’s complex on Shipcarpenter Street.

The store is located in what was the Thompson Country Store, which was originally built in the 1800s and operated until 1962. The historical society took over the building in 1963.

The store will carry antiques and more, which have been donated by the community. The store includes two buildings, one that sells furniture and another that sells antiques. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
