Nearly 100 homes and businesses are featured this season on the Lewes Lights tour. Now in its fourth year, Lewes Lights was created during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide a holiday happening for families.
The goal is to lift spirits, spread light and joy, and bring the community together, and also support local businesses by bringing people into Lewes. The tour is open Dec. 1-31 each night from 5 to 9 p.m. This year’s chairperson is Debra Evalds, who has a special connection to Santa Claus because her husband, Paul, spends many hours as Santa.
The Jolly Trolley has jumped on board this season and offers tours.

Not every decorated home in Lewes is on the tour, but it’s Evald’s mission to get them signed up.

Outside of Lewes but on the tour is this home in Four Seasons at Belle Terre off Mulberry Knoll Road. The display at the home of Marc Anthony Worosilo and Tom Negran is computer synchronized to music.

Pilotttown Road is perhaps the best-lit street in Lewes with several homes, like these neighbors, decorated to the maximum.

Santa and Mrs. Claus, aka Paul and Debra Evalds, are all in when it comes to celebrating Christmas. Debra, one of the founders of Lewes Lights, is chairperson this year.

This home on Pilottown Road features a beach and surf scene complete with a lighthouse and shark fin.
