Picture-perfect weather helped usher in Lewes Little League’s 2026 season April 11, with 512 players and their families taking part in this year’s program.
The league features 41 teams – including six Baseball Majors, eight Baseball Minors, one Softball Majors, four Softball Minors, 10 Machine Pitch and 12 Tee Ball – that will play more than 250 games this season.
Officials also recognized the league’s 166 volunteers, including board members, umpires, team managers, assistant coaches, team parents and, for the first time this year, junior umpires. Without their support, organizers said, the program would not be possible.
