Lewes summer concert lineup announced

May 10, 2017

The City of Lewes brings a fun and energetic lineup for the summer concert series in Stango Park for 2017. At 7 p.m., every Tuesday, from June 13 to Aug. 29, there will be a free concert starting on the open-air stage in Stango Park next to the Lewes library. The first concert is the Miss Delaware contestant showcase to include dancing, singing and other performances. This partnership between the city and the Miss Delaware Scholarship Organization helps promote the Miss Delaware completion event set for Friday, June 16, at Cape Henlopen High School.

The 19th annual Lewes Chautauqua event is the week of June 18, and the theme is Service, Suffrage and Swing - WWI Era in Delaware. The city is taking part by featuring World War I-era music by the Delmarva Big Band June 20.

The 2017 summer concert series lineup includes more favorites and new bands that cover a range of musical styles and genres.
