Lifelong friends making memories with the Cape Gazette in Italy

Lifelong friends and Rehoboth Beach natives Hope Wilson Lavachia, Lois Anne Snyder Rayner, Dolores Pfister Woolworth and Peggy Gadow Martin recently traveled to Italy. Their adventure began with visits to ancient Rome, beautiful Florence and the surrounding Tuscan countryside that included an evening of music and wine in the 1500s hillside villa of Niccolo Machiavelli. The final stop and highlight of the trip was alluring Venice. Here the ladies are pictured, posing with their Cape Gazette on the Scalzi Bridge (meaning bridge of the discalced, denoting or belonging to one of several orders of Catholic friars or nuns who go barefoot or wear only sandals) located in the Cannaregio District of this unique and enchanting city.
