Linda Ann Port, loved to volunteer

Linda Ann Port, 72, of Millsboro passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.  She was born Feb. 21, 1949, in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late James and Margaret Ann (Kennedy) Whittemore.

Mrs. Port was a known workaholic and kept extremely organized with everything she did. In her spare time, she loved to volunteer with the Delaware Humane Society and was also a member of the Henlopen Elks Lodge.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Port was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Port, in 2004. She is survived by her son, Eric Jason Alves and his wife Chrissy of Baltimore; her sister, Jane Willcox and her husband Franklin of Millsboro; and her brother, Brian Whittemore of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Friends may visit Thursday, Sept. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes. Interment will be private at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills, Md.
