Linda Byrne Luksic, nutritional health coach

November 16, 2022

Linda Byrne Luksic, 52, of Lewes, passed away peacefully at home Monday, Nov. 14, 2022. She was born Feb. 13, 1970, in Macclesfield, England, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Walster) Byrne.

Known as “Shandy” to her close friends, she enjoyed being self-employed for the last three years as an integrated nutritional health coach, a career that gave her a great amount of satisfaction. Prior to receiving her certification, she bartended in several popular area restaurants including the Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach, Irish Eyes in Lewes and Claws Crab House in Rehoboth Beach.

A free spirit to her core, Linda’s love of life was contagious. She had many diverse interests. Cooking was her true passion, and she attended culinary school to learn techniques and perfect her craft. She would often host events, where she could feed guests in her home and share her culinary creations. Linda never turned down an adventure, traveling the world, trying new things, and learning about different cultures. Being outdoors, walking or hiking was rejuvenating for her. She loved animals and music of all genres but Pearl Jam was her favorite. Always true to her English roots, Manchester United was her favorite team but she followed all sports enthusiastically. She was fun-loving and often enjoyed shooting a game of pool or throwing darts. She was selfless and often put others before herself. Above all, the time spent with those she held dear was what she most cherished. Linda was a loving and devoted wife, sister, dog mom to her fur babies, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, Robert Luksic of Lewes; her brothers: John, Paul and Andrew, all of the United Kingdom; her sister, Leslie of Australia; and her precious fur babies, Buster, Bandit and Ezekial.

Final care has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at Camp Arrowhead, 35268 Homestead Way, Lewes, in the Jane Clifton Ashford Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Linda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, stjude.org; or Doggone Happy Animal Rescue, 1328 Gallo Road, Harrington, DE 19952, doggonehappyde.com.
