Listening Booth spring shows start March 12

After a whirlwind winter of songwriting circles, musical painting parties and themed shows at the Cinema Art Theater, Marissa Lerer, owner of the Listening Booth, has announced its spring 2023 season performers, including world-famous artists Christine Lavin, Alice Howe with Freebo, and Nashville sweethearts Halley Neal and Sam Robbins.

The booth is expanding its offerings with a new, intimate studio space at Hammer & Stain, 18838 Coastal Highway, Lewes. Upcoming performances start at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Nebraska folk band The Wildwoods will play Sunday, March 12; and Nashville songwriting sweethearts Halley Neal and Sam Robbins will hit the stage Friday, March 24. Aaron Nathans & Michael G. Ronstadt will make it weird with their unique and humorous cello/guitar-based tunes Sunday, April 16. Alice Howe will define cool with her musical partner Freebo (Bonnie Raitt’s coveted bassist) Saturday, April 22. David LaMotte will perform Thursday, June 15. 

The Listening Booth holds a local songwriters’ circle at 7 p.m. every Thursday when participants share new songs, give constructive feedback and build community.
