Select members of the Cape Henlopen High School JROTC attended a special lunch hour March 29 at Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 near Lewes.
After everyone enjoyed a choice of several lunch entrees, the Elks Veterans Committee members presented the cadets with a $500 check to help cover costs associated with their off-campus projects.
It is hoped that this donation to the Cape High JROTC will go a long way in supporting community service and patriotism – goals shared by the Elks as well.
