Local groups team to provide Thanksgiving meals
To ensure that families in Sussex County would have a happy Thanksgiving, local groups partnered Nov. 23 to serve meals to hundreds of individuals at Quality Inn in Georgetown.
Tailored Care LLC, a personal assistance service agency owned by Tabitha Cephas, provides services assist individuals with needs of activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. Miracle One is a charitable organization in Sussex County owned by Doris Hagans.
The two groups teamed to provide Thanksgiving meals to clients, homeless, shut-ins and anyone in need.
Client Marla Dibatitista, a retired nurse, was extremely grateful for the meals and services provided by Tailored Care and Miracle One. "It is so different being on the other side,” said Dibatista, who transitioned from the active nurse who was giving, into a client who is receiving. Nevertheless, she is extremely thankful to be with an agency that ensures their clients are taken care of even on the holidays.
Both Tailored Care and Miracle One strive to serve and provide assistance to vulnerable communities.
