Sussex County photographers and volunteers set up four studios Dec. 6 at Delaware Technical Community College to put on the sixth annual Help Portrait.

The worldwide event takes place on the same day to provide free portraits to needy families.

Event coordinator Keith Mosher of KAM Photography said 77 families and 267 individuals were photographed this year during the day-long Sussex County event with families taking home 454 prints.

Families were also treated to refreshments, several organizations provided informational booths and children had a chance to visit with Santa Claus. More than 50 volunteers participated in this year's event.

Overall, more than 370 families with more than 1,680 individuals have been photographed during the six years of the local event.
