Locals win big in Delaware Lottery

Delaware Lottery announced two local residents recently scored big wins. 

A 69-year-old man from Lewes is celebrating a $150,000 win from the Fast Bucks Instant Game. The winning ticket was purchased at Acme on Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach. He said he has been playing for fun since 2017 and previously claimed a prize from the popular Willy Wonka game, but this $150,000 win left him completely stunned. He plans to use the prize money to pay off credit cards and invest for the future.

A 70-year-old man from Rehoboth Beach is celebrating a $100,000 win from the 50th Anniversary Instant Game, with the winning ticket purchased at Safeway on Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach. A regular player for the past five years, the man said he was shocked when he realized how much he had won. He plans to use the prize money for home repairs. 

“The best part of these big wins is getting to meet the people behind the ticket,” said Helene Keeley, Delaware Lottery director. “We’re sending them all the best and wish them a great year ahead.”
