Lois A. Fry, enjoyed playing piano
Lois A. Fry, 97, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md., after falling ill while visiting with her daughter in Scaggsville, Md. She was born Oct. 9, 1923, in Carteret, N.J., daughter of the late Edward Emil and Agnes Banghart (Castner) Doscher.
Lois was a minister’s wife, played the piano in her husband’s churches, and ended her life by continuing to play and minister at Midway Assembly of God Church in Lewes. Playing the piano and being with her family and friends were her passion. She always had a smile and love of God to share with everyone.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Herman Wesley Fry Jan. 23, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, June Toth and husband Greg of Maryland; two sons, Paul Fry and wife Melinda of West Virginia, and Ken Fry and wife Jolann of Virginia; four grandchildren, Sarah McQueen and husband Aaron, Hannah Fry, Kelsey Corder and husband William Jr., and Jessie Fry; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m., at Midway Assembly of God Church, 34677 Old Postal Lane, Lewes. where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing protocols must be observed, and masks must be worn by everyone participating in any aspect of the service. The service will also be available online at www.facebook.com/MidwayAtTheBeach. Burial will follow the service at Conley's Chapel Cemetery, Lewes.
