Nearly 300 runners recorded finish times at the seventh annual Lucky Leprechaun 5K under a light rain March 10 at Milton Irish Eyes.

Ruslan Kopunek of Rehoboth, stationed with the Navy in San Diego, was the overall winner in 19:37.

“I’m big for a runner, so 5K is about my limit,” Kopunek said. “I went to St. Thomas More High School, so I’m not as well known locally as if I had gone to Cape.”

Michele Karsnitz was the overall women’s winner in 21:02.

Matt Sparacino, 41, won the male masters in 19:53, while Jen Perry, 46, won the female masters in 24:36.

Makayla Daisey, 11, of Milton won the female 13-and-under in 37:42. She was followed by Kenna Justice and Lara Pink.

Allen Jackson, 50, of Milton, on a mission to run five 5Ks in his 50th year, ran 26:27.

Jules Woodall, 70, won the male 70-and-over category in 26:16, just ahead of Woody Disharoon in 26:32.
